We had Border Mechanical replace our hot water tank and remove all of the old Poly B piping and replace it with Pex Piping. Border is an excellent company. They went above and beyond to do the job for us, arrived on time, were fast and efficient. The Technicians were polite and respectful, took great care to protect areas they were working in and around and when done everything was cleaned so you wouldn`t have known they had done anything. All around a great company to work with. They are now our go to people.

Julius, Tyson & Luke did a great job connecting up a new gas range to replace our electric range. The installation required running the gas line to the kitchen, as well as installing the range hood and ducting to vent the range to the outside through the roof. They were very professional, friendly and polite and cleaned up once the job was complete. I highly recommend Border Plumbing for prompt and efficient service.

I contacted Border Mechanical Services for a water leak which created a growing number of puddles on the floor as it dripped from the basement ceiling. The dispatch person was prompt and set up an appointment quickly. The technician Tyson was on time and after a short period of investigation, discovered and diagnosed the problem, and proceeded with the repair. I was more than impressed with all aspects of the service from initial contact to repair.

Jeff examined an new Humidified install and after some good analysis determined that a relay was not required. He rewired the unit and tested it to ensure it was working properly. Friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Left us feeling confident in using Border for our Heating/AC servicing

Upon noticing, our furnace was not working correctly I went down to inspect it Visually and noticed it had a border plumbing and heating sticker on it as they were the last company to do maintenance on it. We called the phone number and got a detailed explanation of how to potentially troubleshoot our self. We told the technician on the phone were unable to get it working. Within one hour, we were called and said somebody was on the way the technician repaired what was needed also answered my questions about my installation of the air filter I asked about maintenance routine and after receiving my invoice, I also received a detailed breakdown of the maintenance routines. They offer very happy with everything. We are going to sign up for the Gold level maintenance service to cover all items in our home

Border has been consistently excellent in terms of professionalism and workmanship. Whenever anyone says they need work done on their plumbing/heating I always recommend Border.

Our Bryant furnace was still going strong after 22 years, but we chose to get it replaced, to be on the safe side. Border plumbing has been my go to team, this time again, for this second install. Dayton and Warren arrived on time. Two and a half hours later, the replacement was completed. The whole process was seamless. I trust that we will enjoy many more years of comfort in our house!

Twas the day before Christmas when all through the house not a creature was stirring except a kitchen faucet that wouldnt stop going. Valves were dutifully twisted and turned, in hope that the water soon would stop flowing. Off went the shutoff valve for the house and towels were nestled all snug on the countertop in hopes that a plumber soon would appear. To the phone we dashed, in search of said plumbers! We called Border Plumbing and what to our wondering eyes did appear, Robbie and Owen (but alas no eight tiny reindeer). They spoke a few words and went straight to their work. They knew in an instant the tap had gone berserk. With water restored, off to find a new faucet we went. We went to Home Depot and what did we find, but the very faucet we needed and on sale, oh how fine! With an appointment for install booked in 2 days, we whistled and shouted, and in spite of all chaos you could hear us exclaim, Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

We had a fantastic experience. The day our A/C unit quit Border plumbing, heating & electrical was very quick to come and service it for us. Jeff was very knowledgeable and got us temporarily up and running until our new unit could arrive. He helped us pick the right new unit for our needs. The new unit came in within a couple days and Dayton and his team had it installed and finished 2 hours earlier than the projected time frame. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend their company to anyone.

What a wonderful experience I had. I had to replace furnace, hot water tank and I wanted to add air conditioning. I obtained a few quotes with reputable and pleasant firms Jeff from Border provided a couple of options. All the quotes were fairly close in dollar value but a bit different in warranty and future annual service. Two days after I got my quotes together to make a decision I was contacted by Mike from Border telling me there was a possible rebate he sent the information. None of the other firms said anything about rebates. So I decided to hire Border whether I got the rebate or not. Immediately I was contacted by Jeff to again do option as there was a heat pump unit that would provide efficient, effective cooling with great economy. We decided on a date, the trucks arrived on time, the guys were respectful of my property and the project was explained to me the start then the second day they explained the final steps went thru the new thermostat use and hot water settings. It was truly as good of experience as I could hope for. I highly recommend contacting them. In addition their electrician fixed two receptacles in my kitchen. What a team!

On Friday January 19, 2024, we received another excellent service call from Border Plumbing. Having been a customer for many years, we have become accustomed to a certain level of service and they did not disappoint. The tub/shower valve in one bathroom was defective. We contacted Chris who arranged for a service call the following day. The technician originally assigned for the work was unable to come so Chris informed us immediately and arranged for another plumber to make the repair. Tyson, accompanied by Jayden travelled in a snowstorm from Lake Country to Lower Mission. That's called dedication to clients in our opinion. The repair was done quickly and efficiently in spite of a problem with the ceramic tile that obstructed access to the valve. Tyson found a way to solve that problem. Our hot water tank went a couple days ago and we called Border even tho we had no idea who installed it. Mike showed up at our house a couple hours later and arranged our warranty thru Rheem and tank pick up at supplier. Border installers arrived at Home Depot to pick up tank the next day, came over to install it and had it turned on and everything cleaned up by 2pm. We had hot water by 3pm that day. City of Kelowna inspector showed up today to attach the city permit and also commended their clean work on the soldering. I basically had to do nothing other than go pick out the tank at Home Depot. Mike from Border guided me thru every step and even gave me the link this morning for my Fortis Rebate application. I can't say enough how good Border was. Not sure how you improve on perfection, but we did observe it this week during our annual furnace tune up and service call with Jeff C. This guy should be teaching this stuff!! Jeff pointed out a couple of operational tricks that made complete sense, and we immediately employed. The consistency of temperature between upstairs and downstairs was noticeable that very day. Also, Jeff took measurements for items that previously had only been visually graded. This enabled us to clearly determine the affect of aging on a couple of integral components, during the in-depth review he had with us afterwards. Our boiler manifold recently sprung a leak int he middle of the night in our mechanical room. Luckily my husband heard the pipe hissing when he was just about to walk out the door for work. From our first visit with Denver who gave us different estimates and thurough explanations with no pressure sales attached, to the seamless replacement of our furnace, a/c system and new venting performed by Luke and Julius who were polite, professional and very knowledgeable. My furnace broke early Saturday morning. I was recommended Border plumbing and heating by my neighbour. First thing on Monday morning I called the office, the response was fast. October 26, 2022 Border’s friendly, professional service is very much appreciated by these seniors. Jeff C. was accompanied by Aaryn R. whom he was training in furnace maintenance. We knew Aaryn from a few weeks previously when she carried out the servicing on our air conditioner very efficiently. Jeff explained the process to us thoroughly and resolved a minor issue with the humidifier as part of the service. As well, he recommended a new igniter as the current one had become corroded. From the very first phone call the service has been super friendly and knowledgeable. I called having had no hot water for two days and in desperate need of a shower and was happily surprised that the technician would be here within the hour. Unfortunately it was most cost effective to replace the hot water tank but again I was happily surprised to be told it would be installed the next morning, and although this is probably not related to the actual service, that was one of the best showers of my life. Lyle, the technician was really friendly, explained the problem and our options. We have tried different plumbing/HVAC companies in the past and usually left slightly disappointed and that did not happen with Lyle and Border. I will definitely be calling Border the next time we have an issue.

Our furnace died (on a Sunday) and I called the emergency number. I was SO happy with the prompt response from Border Plumbing and Heating. Someone was here first thing yesterday to assess the problem and this morning, Dayton Bailey and Ryan Storozak arrived bright and early and replaced our furnace. My hot water tank stopped working on a Sunday afternoon with a house full of people. I called Border & explained that my husband has terminal cancer & it is imperative that I have hot water. He came to work on a plumbing project, first planned by another plumber at Border, and he was able to quickly figure out the scope, parts required, made a couple of improvements to the design and completed it within the timeframe allotted. Colin Gellatly was very good at describing the issue and the possible causes. He listened to the info I had and we worked together to sort out the problem. Nothing short of GENIUS - I thought I was in for a big repair job when a wet patch started appearing on the ceiling above the shower. Colin replaced our hot water tank. He was friendly and efficient. He answered all my questions. He cleaned up after himself and even fixed the pea gravel outside that moved when he brought in the new water tank. Great service.

Dayton B with an assistant, (my apologies not knowing his name) were knowledgeable, answered all our questions, helpful in set up, of thermostat and just all round, we liked what they did, how they presented themselves. Yahoo! Woke up this morning to snow and no heat 15C inside. Put in a call at approx. 7:30 a.m. spoke with Donna, she's amazing, and she put in a call to Owen. In way less than an hour Owen was smiling and at my door. Owen immediately performed diagnostics and identified the problem; furnace was not reading the thermostat. The thermostat had been dislodged and was not connecting with the furnace. Owen is a true professional, experienced and will come into your home with your best interest in mind. Yesterday , Border Heating technicians, Dayton and Ryan replaced my furnace. They were very professional and completed the installation which required new vent piping to be installed through the roof, which entailed attic access into two feet of blown in insulation. Kudos. Site cleanup was first rate. I would like to extend my thanks to them and to Border Plumbing, Heating & Electrical for a job well done, as well as give them a high five rating.

Customer service is excellent. As we had been warned on Dec 30th, relighting the pilot light was probably not going to be a successful fix to the hot water tank. We discovered this at 4:50 pm so we called Border again and Mike was very helpful and said he would have Paul at our house in the morning. Paul came on New Year's Eve and replaced our hot water tank. He was very thorough, efficient and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with him. We appreciated the service received and how quickly things got done and while no one likes to spend money replacing a hot water tank, Border made it easier.

I called Mike at 4pm on New Year’s Eve as my hot water tank had failed and he was able to get me a quote and get a new tank install organized by Paul for 10am on New Years Day! Paul was on time, professional and quick to get us up and running again with a new tank. Not the best way to start 2021 but the Staff at Border did a great job at getting us back on track! I had new furnace and AC installed by Dayton B and Ryan . I had some concerns about modifications involved for the install but ended up quite impressed with the quality of the install. Thanks Dayton and Ryan and also Warren who installed the new hot water tank.

Colin came and gave us a quote which we felt reasonable to replace all the Poly B pipes in our 4200 sq ft house. The next day he and his team (Tyler & Paul) arrived on time, were efficient and neat and in our opinion did an excellent job during the three days they were in our home. Very professional, and they did a great job in cleaning up before completing the job. We would absolutely recommend them.

I recommend Border for their knowledge and speed of application. They saved my little home. I live in my mobile and when a pipe in the bathroom 'sprung' I turned off the valve under the sink but this did not stop the water which was getting worse, my son crawled underneath to find a shut off valve to the mains but there is no such valve under my home ! Border came and could not find such valve...the water was getting much worse. My brother brought me a wet/dry cleaner and this was filling in minutes ..to be emptied and let refill for hours. Used all the towels sheets clothing etc to soak up the constant water. Border finally contacted our site agent and a neighbor helped me locate the main shut off in the front garden...at last Border shut off the water !! Wheee ! They came the next day and replaced the split piping and installed an easy to reach shut off by my hot water tank. They were cheerful and helpful throughout...I think the plumbers name was Lyle...but my hearing is dodgy, but I hope he sees this and knows that this 'mature' lady blesses him daily ! Border plumbing cannot be surpassed !!! Thank you. Cranky

We had a great experience with Border. The initial quote from Jeff was highly competitive on price and it was obvious to us that he had many years of industry experience, which gave us the peace of mind that the job would be done as discussed. Dayton and Ryan also provided us great quality service during the install. Not only was the job done exactly as expected, but by taking some extra time and care to plan out the thermostat move they saved us hours of drywall repair. After a full month we can say we are very happy with the quiet and consistent operation of the new two stage Bryant furnace, and are already seeing savings over our previous single stage unit. We look forward to using Border again for future HVAC service.

I was very happy with the service I received from the team at Border. Owen arrived on time, and gave me a phone call before he was coming. He was very friendly and professional and gave me an honest review of my furnace to determine it would be best to replace it. On November 18 Julius and his assistant Warren came to install our new furnace. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up, on tine, with booties and masks in place. Our furnace room is tiny and crowded and these two men worked tirelessly for 8 hours with never a complaint. Their manner was professional but friendly, stopping anytime to answer a question for me and explain things. They even took care of a water issue while they were here working on the furnace!Their prices are competitive and our new furnace is not only much more efficient than our last one, it is so quiet! Asked about wearing a mask before entering our house and stepped us through the process and timing. the work area was immaculate when finished. We were back up and running with hot water quickly. We first thought it was something with our ducts, but when they came to check it out and saw it was likely a plumbing problem they got Colin over very quickly and he identified and resolved the problem really quickly and cleanly! They have a number of staff and were able to rearrange some things so that we could get same day service to repair a leak. At the time of booking there were questions about COVID and I was asked if I would prefer for the worker to wear a mask. This made me happy. Colin was very friendly and professional. He explained what was broken and how to avoid this problem in the future. Efficient work. Will call again next time we need a plumber :). I can't speak to the price as we haven't needed a plumber in Kelowna or had this type of repair done in the past, but I will say this: never choose the cheapest you find because good workers deserve good pay and you get what you pay for.

Our new furnace/ac unit was installed by Luke S., and Dayton B. They were very professional, easy to talk to. They explained everything they were doing before they did it and asked if we had any questions (asked a number of times throughout the install, which I appreciated). Dayton showed us how to use the thermostat. They cleaned up all their mess and put everything back together. Luke cut and screwed plywood in the opening where the furnace was removed from. I will be recommending Border Plumbing and heating to all my friends, acquaintances, and family members.
